Kihon Ido is a set of basic movement patterns that help students develop their balance, coordination, and muscle memory...essential skills for performing the various techniques of Goju-ryu karate.
Kata focuses on refining sequences of movements that simulate combat situations. Students will develop balance, coordination, and focus while learning practical self-defense techniques.
Bunkai involves breaking down the movements and techniques of kata, then studying their practical applications. This deepens understanding and improves the students' ability to handle real-world situations.
In Kumiwaza, students partner to practice techniques and applications in a cooperative, controlled manner. Their skills and understanding develop through repetition and feedback from their partners.
